Parting of the Sea
Here Victor shows the "Eye of God" looking upon the aftermath of the "parting of the seas", representing any event which could occur creating sudden and drastic change. Most of the ships which had been sailing on the sea are shown destroyed by this sudden event. They lie broken on the exposed sea floor. By contrast, in the center of the painting, Victor shows one ship in perfect condition, positioned in the middle of a silvery plate. The ship's inhabitants can be seen walking around on its intact decks. At the right side of the plate, we see one of Victor's ladders, representing spiritual evolution and progress upward to higher levels of consciousness. The implication here is that for those who are living at a higher level of consciousness, their safety will be given to them "on a silver platter", during times of great change and upheaval.
