Flame of Truth

In the painting Flame of Truth, the artist reflects on the journeys people take to find truth. The books are a symbol of high culture and religion. At the bottom are two large books: the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament is impressively large and ancient. It is the book of life. The New Testament is open, and Jesus appears from the pages. The pages form His hair. His shining face looks at us from the heavens.

The books along the side frame Christ, and people live in these books. On the left are the older texts, representing the past. The people living in these books have taken ownership of their religion. On the right, there are newer texts and only one house, showing the modern trend of less involvement with religion. The people are busy at work, working at religion, but not seeing the truth. We all live with books and aspire to learn the truth from them.

The man in front who is the flame has seen the truth and lights up in prayer to Jesus.
